Sorry I'm late to the "First Flight Tuesday" party. Instead of the first flight of a particularly noteworthy aircraft, how about the first plane we flew on personally?

My first flight was as a kid going to Disneyland, June '88, from CYVR to KLAX aboard a Canadian Airlines 737-200 in the full and proper livery. Canadian had been formed by the merger of Pacific Western and CP Air, so some of their fleet was in transitional liveries of the respective airlines. There's not too many decent, postable pics of these around, so have three so-so ones instead. Deal with it.

Whatever was flying military families to and from Puerto Rico in the Early 70s. I was one, and we moved back to the mainland.

We landed in Miami... Which is were we bought the Type3 squareback and drove to Montana (via every friend and relative along the way)

If it was Miami over another large American city, maybe we rode in a boat? Was it even in Miami? Who the fuck knows? I'm way too deep into this to delete what I wrote.

I suspect it was one of these, a United Airlines DC-10 ...my sister and I went with my dad to the west coast to visit my uncle and to go to Disneyland...this was around 1973-74. My memory of the flight out was of a widebody plane; we stopped over in Denver but didn't get off the plane.

Thanks for the pic. I love this particular livery.
